Robotics Club

Since moving to Cincinnati in 2002, I've been dedicated to giving back to the community I call it now home. I have focused on supporting underprivileged youth in education, especially STEM education, that will pave the way to brighter futures.

By creating programs like Code for Kids and Robotics Summer Camp, I'am working with low-income schools to narrow the digital divide and empower local students to continue their education and prepare for careers in the future.

My partnerships include the Community Action Agency, with which we're trying to bring computer and robotics activities to their Head Start program in the West End, and Hays Porter Elementary School, which was selected to be a part of the CPS Vision 2020 initiative. My continuing collaboration with schools and organizations in the West End engages parents, educators, businesses and non-profits to work togehter to help broaden the STEM knowledge of students and break the poverty cycle.

You can lean more about my Code for Kids  activities in this presentation: "Building a High-Tech Education Pipeline in West End"

Recently I've been asked to join the "STEAM Education" team on Medium as a contributing writer, and you can read my first article here, kind of disputing the myths propagated wrongly by Google: Building diverse IT Education Pipeline

For me involvement with the students, in 2015 I received the CPS Pinnacle Award as the Volunteer of the Year. And in 2017 I was recognized as a 2017 Difference Maker Finalist
